Jason L Smith, CEP®, BPC, is a father, husband, nationally acclaimed speaker, financial planner, best-selling author, coach and entrepreneur. He’s the chief visionary, executive chairman, and founder of C2P, as well as JL Smith Holistic Wealth Management, his own financial services practice.

At JL Smith, Jason built a self-sustaining model where his practice can run with or without him. They brought in over $90 million of new assets last year — with Jason working less than one day per week! His passion is sharing this business model with other advisors to help them grow, teaching The Rainmaker Multiplier Model & Process. He recently authored a book on the process’s development: “The Rainmaker Multiplier: How To Create a Self-Sustaining, Scalable Financial Planning Business.”

Jason is author of the best-selling book “The Bucket Plan: Protecting and Growing Your Assets for a Worry-Free Retirement.” U.S. News & World Report recently named it one of the Top 10 Retirement Planning Books, the only financial planning process-based entry. He also wrote “Clarity 2 Prosperity: An Advisor’s Guide to Charging Planning Fees for Holistic Planning” and coauthored “The Hiring Advantage.”

In fact, Jason’s Bucket Plan philosophy inspired a children’s book designed to teach kids responsible spending, saving and earning principles! You’ll find it as “Days Can Be Sunny for Bunnies and Money.”

More About Jason L Smith

In 1995, Jason joined his father’s insurance agency before starting his own financial services practice. He uses his own accomplishments as an advisor to teach others how to succeed. His goal is to improve the lives of American families through holistic financial planning.

Furthermore, Jason regularly trains advisors through live events, webinars, podcasts and coaching calls. He uses his own practice to develop proven processes and test market concepts. His office is available for select advisors to observe him and his team for training purposes.

Jason is a regular speaker at industry events. In 2015, Investment News recognized him as one of its 40 Under 40, and he landed on Crain’s Notable Wealth Managers list. Experts often cite him in industry and national media. He’s even been a featured television guest, discussing the importance of providing holistic financial services.

Additionally, Jason is executive chairman and founder of Prosperity Capital Advisors, a planning-first RIA. USA Today recognized his RIA as one of the Best Financial Advisory Firms in 2023, based on the growth of assets under management and recommendations from clients and peers.

Jason and his wife, Holly, have a daughter, Jordan, and two sets of twins: Berkeley and Wyatt and Lincoln and Lennon. He’s frequently busy helping financial advisors like you prosper! In the meantime, he enjoys reading, grilling, yoga, strength training and anything that gets him outdoors.

Principles

October 6, 2017

Best Interest Philosophy

Rooted in a holistic financial planning philosophy, our founding partners have been adhering to a best interest planning process for more than a decade. We started Clarity Insurance Marketing to provide the training, resources, and support to advisors wanting to adhere to the same best interest standard.

From our product selection to our asset positioning philosophy, Clarity Insurance Marketing is dedicated to serving the end client’s best interest with appropriate insurance solutions as part of holistic financial planning. We work with and offer access to the most reputable insurance companies in the industry. We have vetted our carriers so you can feel confident in representing the top-quality products and most substantiated service histories available today to your clients.

Asset Positioning Philosophy

How Do I Position Fixed Indexed Annuities along with Assets Under Management?

When used appropriately as a part of holistic financial planning, there is no substitute that provides the same advantages of index annuities for principal protection to eliminate the sequence of returns risk in addition to tax-advantaged growth and predictable income. Clarity Insurance Marketing offers both fee-based and commission-based annuities and utilizes a proprietary, five-layer product screening process for best interest selection criteria.

Simple. Straight-Forward. Systematic: The Bucket Plan® Best Interest Philosophy

At Clarity Insurance Marketing, we take a fiduciary-friendly planning approach to adhering to best interest standards. Not a cumbersome and confusing process. With a focus on client education, our products and recommendations will align with the client’s stage in The Money Cycle, as well as part of a structured plan that accounts for their immediate, short, and long-term goals.

Through access to our sister training company, Clarity 2 Prosperity, advisors working with Clarity Insurance Marketing will have access to The Bucket Plan® Best Interest Process—a tested, duplicable planning process that adheres to the most up-to-date best interest standards available and provides data gathering and planning tools that identify, analyze and present recommendations to the client with accompanying documentation to support them.

Back Office Efficiency

At Clarity Insurance Marketing, our leadership team personally depends upon the efficient and accurate execution of issuing policies for use within their own advisory practices. In using the same systems and service as you, developing streamlined operations, proactive support and overall efficient back-office support is a continued priority guided by your daily business demands.
