Jason L Smith, CEP®, BPC, is a father, husband, nationally acclaimed speaker, financial planner, best-selling author, coach and entrepreneur. He’s the chief visionary, executive chairman, and founder of C2P, as well as JL Smith Holistic Wealth Management, his own financial services practice.
At JL Smith, Jason built a self-sustaining model where his practice can run with or without him. They brought in over $90 million of new assets last year — with Jason working less than one day per week! His passion is sharing this business model with other advisors to help them grow, teaching The Rainmaker Multiplier Model & Process. He recently authored a book on the process’s development: “The Rainmaker Multiplier: How To Create a Self-Sustaining, Scalable Financial Planning Business.”
Jason is author of the best-selling book “The Bucket Plan: Protecting and Growing Your Assets for a Worry-Free Retirement.” U.S. News & World Report recently named it one of the Top 10 Retirement Planning Books, the only financial planning process-based entry. He also wrote “Clarity 2 Prosperity: An Advisor’s Guide to Charging Planning Fees for Holistic Planning” and coauthored “The Hiring Advantage.”

In 1995, Jason joined his father’s insurance agency before starting his own financial services practice. He uses his own accomplishments as an advisor to teach others how to succeed. His goal is to improve the lives of American families through holistic financial planning.

Jennifer Mackert is the Chief Administrative Officer for C2P. She’s driven to manage operations to provide exceptional service to our advisors and increase company performance. Jennifer has an extensive background, including over 25 years in the industry. Throughout her work, she’s focused on portfolio management, client service and corporate operations.
Her educational background, including an MBA with a concentration in finance, complements her lengthy experience.
Before joining C2P, Jennifer spent a good portion of her career at McDonald Investments and Key Private Bank. During this tenure, she worked in several departments within the operations group, served on investment committees and managed money within the portfolio management group. She managed portfolios totaling more than $100 million within that role. Additionally, she worked with a regional investment consulting group to help high-net-worth family clients with managing their assets.
More recently (and before C2P’s founding), Jennifer worked with JL Smith Wealth & Tax Planning. In this stretch of her career, she helped develop several key processes available through C2P and Clarity 2 Prosperity.
Moreover, Jennifer served as an adjunct finance professor at Baldwin Wallace University and Tiffin University. There, she shared her knowledge and experience with the next generation of savvy, dedicated business leaders. She’s fully committed to fostering financial advisor growth at any age.
Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family and watching Cleveland sports in her free time. She stays involved with her community’s athletic and swim boosters, as well as multiple charitable organizations.
