Matt Seitz is the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at C2P.

In his role, he oversees the marketing and business development teams with key initiatives including:

  • Optimized the marketing-sales funnels
  • Implemented organizational growth strategies
  • Spearheaded the companies’ digital growth
  • Helped advisors scale their marketing and BD efforts

He’s proud to have over 20 years of marketing and sales experience in the finance, accounting, and professional services industries. As a result, he’s made a name for himself as an author of articles and speaker on various marketing and business development topics.

His professional philosophy is grounded in relationship marketing – focusing on customer service and satisfaction and aligning it with a data-driven approach to improve ROI. Under Matt’s leadership, JL Smith Holistic Wealth Management reached a 40% average annual growth from 2020 through 2024 in new advisory and annuity assets. Furthermore, he helped expand the firm’s geographic footprint.

Motivated by his desire to help other financial advisory firms achieve similar success, Matt helped pioneer an in-house marketing agency tailored to C2P financial advisors.

A member of the American Marketing Association, Matt’s primary areas of expertise are strategic planning, digital marketing, lead generation and content marketing. He’s achieved numerous accolades throughout his career, such as Crain’s naming him one of Cleveland’s Notable Marketing Executives in 2021. Matt has also received industry recognition for content marketing, video marketing and lead generation campaigns.

In 2025 and 2026, Financial Narrative 50 recognized Matt as one of the top 50 financial services marketing and communications professionals. WealthManagement.com also deemed him a finalist for CMO of the Year in 2023 for its industry awards. Furthermore, he was a finalist for ThinkAdvisor’s LUMINARIES for outstanding executive leadership.

Matt’s thought leadership extends to his current endeavor. He’s working on his debut book about creating thriving marketing programs for financial advisors to scale up and better serve their clients. He sets the book against the backdrop of his personal health journey and the power of embracing a positive mindset.

Matt and his wife, Melissa, and their three children live in Cleveland. They’re huge fans of basketball, Disney and all Cleveland sports!
