The Future of Wealth Management Part 2: Personal, Efficient Operations

In This Episode

About the Episode:

Where should technology handle the heavy lifting in your practice and where does the human touch remain irreplaceable? In part two of our conversation on the future of wealth management, Jamie Hopkins, CEO of Bryn Mawr Capital Management and WSFS Bank, and host Dave Alison discuss strategic decisions that separate efficient practices from those struggling to balance automation with authentic client relationships.

Jamie shares his framework for identifying which advisory functions should be automated—trading execution, rebalancing, tax optimization—while preserving the human expertise that clients truly value. Discover practical delegation strategies that many advisors overlook, including how team members can maintain client connection without requiring deep technical expertise.

Key Topics Discussed:

  • Strategic Automation Framework: Deciding what to automate versus where human value remains essential
  • Client Expectation Management: Understanding how consumers now compare advisory experiences to tech companies
  • Volatile Market Communication: Maintaining clarity during significant market swings and pricing confusion
  • Team Delegation Systems: Implementing response protocols that preserve connection while improving efficiency
  • AI Impact on Relationships: Why artificial intelligence might increase demand for face-to-face meetings
  • Onboarding Excellence: Eliminating client “black hole” experiences during transfers and account setup
  • Activity Inventory Approach: Systematically identifying tasks that free up time for relationship focus
